Crime & personal safety (Asia–Pacific snapshot).
This module uses the best globally-comparable public indicator we can apply consistently across countries: intentional homicide rate (per 100,000 people). It is not a complete measure of all crime types (e.g., theft, scams), but it is a high-signal indicator for severe violence and is widely used in public safety comparisons.

Asia–Pacific Top 20 (crime module)
Where city-level official crime dashboards are not consistently comparable worldwide, we present a harmonized baseline. For each city we record a country-level homicide rate as a conservative proxy (and show confidence). phases can add city-level police dashboards and victimization surveys where standardized.
